 A message for our members... Minimize

The Board Members of ASA Berks are proud of the support and services that we provide to all of you.  As you know, we are an all-volunteer organization.  With a lower attendance rate at monthly chapter meetings and increased interest and attendance at other activities and events, we have decided to decrease the number of chapter meetings that we have.  Keep an eye on our website calendar for schedules and updates.  We welcome suggestions from our members and strive to continue to provide the supports and services that meet your needs.

Our 7th annual Walk, which was held on

Sunday, September 13, 2009, was a success!  We raised autism

awareness and approximately $58,000!  The funds raised will enable

us to continue to carry out our mission.

Autism Awareness Month

During April 2009, the Autism Society of Berks County was proud to have seven billboards (with the artwork below) posted around Berks County in honor of Autism Awareness Month. We also placed an ad in two Sunday editions of the  Reading Eagle. The newspaper ad contained many facts about Autism. We hope to generate a greater awareness and understanding of autism so that individuals can be diagnosed early, receive appropriate treatment, and be met with patience and understanding in our community.
